Arriving by car

We offer all guests who wish to travel by car detailed route planning, including a sketch map, which can be printed out. This service is available throughout Europe! Simply enter your start point and follow the menu. It is only possible to bring cars into the Castle courtyard with permission of the castle manager.

ATTENTION: FRANKFURT - CASTLE ROUTE AVOIDING TRAFFIC JAMS: There are major road works on the A3 near Aschaffenburg, planned to last several years. This is a choke-point at all times of the day or night. Therefore the following diversion is recommended, as it is only 10 km longer and usually free of lorries and traffic jams:

Leave the A3 at junction 54 "Hanau", follow signs for A66 "Fulda". Continue along the A66 past Gelnhausen, then take junction 54 "Bad Orb", follow the main road through the town and on to "Jossgrund". There turn right towards "Gemünden", and reach Rieneck via Aura, Fellen and Burgsinn.

This is a particularly good trick on Friday evenings.
