Every traveller wants to bring home lots of tales! We want to make sure that our guests have lots to tell after a stay at the Scout and Guide Castle Rieneck, so we've put together a guide to the varied activities we have on offer here at Rieneck. The 'Programme Booklet' will help with your planning and suggests lots of different things to do for every age group and all weathers. Sightseeing trips and walks in the Spessart nature park, as well as further information on the area complete the picture.
Our suggestions and activities shouldn't create the impression that we've turned into a holiday club: the idea's to help you help yourselves. We've thought ahead, prepared equipment and materials, we will give instructions. But your active participation is always indispensable. Our programme material is mostly based on the Scouting principle of 'learning by doing', that is, children and young people being active and learning by completing a task. By taking part, not just relying on others to entertain them. Our programmes are there for all our groups. The programme office has prepared support material showing how the individual activities can be carried out by people with disabilities. Please get in touch, we look forward to hearing from you!
Some of the activities are seasonal or dependant on group size and age-group. Please bear this in mind when you talk to us. There are often several groups at the castle simultaneously, which may mean that we are asked for activities at the same time. If this happens, we always try to ensure that the activities which require input from our staff are divided as fairly as possible among our guests.
You are responsible for booking our services and making reservations for events outside the castle in good time. All our activities are provided on a voluntary basis and no legal claim to them exists or is implied.
Unless otherwise specified, prices are for young people. Where two prices are given, the higher price applies to adults. All information subject to alteration.
