Medieval Cooking

Whether you were a rich merchant or a poor farmer the staple food in the middle ages was unsalted bread. This may sound boring but it was not without countless herbs for a more seasoned taste.

Just like in the middle ages a fire will be lit using sparks and not matches and the bread baked in its embers while a soup from wild herbs or tea will be brewed over the flames.
