The Catapult

Following a construction plan, groups will turn two- and three-meter long poles, lots of rope and a few small parts into a catapult, which should be robust and of course have as long a range as possible. At the end of the activity a shooting contest can be held on the sports field. If needed, an explanation of the required knots can be provided.

Despite the plan, the activity requires a certain amount of creativity and technical know-how. Teamwork is also a criteria, both in building and shooting. There are two sets of parts, the group size should be between 5 and 10 people (depending on age and ability). The activity takes place outdoors and is therefore dependant on the weather.
