Hike: The Nun's Path to Schönau Abbey

The walk climbs gently over the Schönauer Berg and then drops down to Schönau. There is an old Franciscan Abbey, and a church which well repays visiting. The monks will show you round if you ask in advance (tel 09351-3301). The nearest stations are in Wolfsmünster or Gemünden (both about 5 km away). In summer there is an occasional bus which stops in Schönau itself.
